Gary Wollschlager, local attorney, and Marty Krause, representative of the estate, announced that Herb and Jeanette Wolf's will included money, $130,000, which was to be donated to the local Fairmont Dollars for Scholars chapter. The money is designated to be used to fund scholarships for Fairmont High School graduates.

Herb was a well known teacher/coach not only in this area, but state wide for many years for his coaching exploits mainly in boys' gymnastics and baseball. Year after year his high school gymnastic teams, a program he founded here in Fairmont, ranked near the top in state polls. Fairmont High School's baseball team, under Herb's guidance, reached state competition six times. Because of his success in the world of sports Herb was elected to a number of halls of fame, including the Minnesota State Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He also was recognized with awards in the Fairmont community for his service to others. Jeanette was an educator both in the Fairmont and Truman school systems for a number of years.
