C. H. Hegdal (former president of the chapter) and present board members Lorraine Balske, Harland Anderson, Don Oberg and Sherwood Sagedahl are members of the Dollars for Scholars National Honor Roll for their commitment to helping students seeking higher education!

The John P. Bird Scholarship was established in 1930! It was transferred to our chapter in 1974.

Last year Minnesota chapters awarded $2.4 million to 3,174 college students.
- In 2007 our chapter awarded scholarships totaling $110,750 to 117 Fairmont High School Graduates.

The Fairmont Railway Motors Foundation/ Richard & Maxine Wade gave our chapter $52,000 in 1989. In 2006, Maxine Wade added $4,400 to these funds!

Scholarship America, located in St. Peter, MN, is the national headquarters for all Dollars for Scholars chapter.

You can establish a stand alone endowed scholarship in the Fairmont chapter with a contribution of $10,000.
